Psychologist on the run

Run along the promenade, mentally I think: "one, two, three, four"-the two accounts on two-breath exhale, cheerful music player, comfortable beautiful sneakers, a pleasant morning frost.  Run, habitually noting where in my body tension, what muscles are "blocked" from running. This professional habit of psychologists working in physically-oriented approach-to be attentive to your body, breathing, stress-sensitive parts of the body, "non-working" muscles.

Run, and suddenly realize that career as through the air, not feel my legs, feet.

I wonder: why so? And childhood memories come to mind: here I am just not feeling your legs, try to do something, can't remember what, but I someone said what I "kopuša", slow, that it should be faster, and I uskorâûs′. And along with attempts to be porastoropnee appears here is the feeling of being suspended in the air and "wooden" body.

This impossibility in childhood to be "in the moment", be focused on their actions, leads to the fact that after many years, I have run out of habit, not allowing yourself to feel its run, relax your feet.

In my childhood we were adults now I customize themselves to external stimuli (music, thoughts, various "must") as sometime in my childhood I were educators, teachers and other adults.

Scamper, like other bodily activity-it is a metaphor of life and how we run/dance/skate, reflects to some extent the way we live.

As body-oriented psychologist I know that person's ability to feel their feet (not just when the night beat back the fingers on the nightstand) is associated with a sense of self-confidence, the ability to fend for themselves, the feeling of security and the ability to embody its plans. And yet it is linked to the human ability to concentrate on yourself, be aware of your emotions, be yourself. As I already wrote, how important in the life of this focus.

Remember zamedlâûs′-start feel: here's foot touches the ground, the second "rasplûŝivaâs′", relaxed, here again strained, with force pushes off, shoots in the air to land again. At this point, feeling of detachment from the Earth leaves comes joy, confidence in the body was called "second breath", escape becomes easier and more interesting.

This ability to re-establish contact with his body leads me to understand a few important things:

  • now I can give yourself as much time as I need to move at their own pace (it is not easy to remember in the daily lives of those who were forever and adjust)

  • often for relaxation and concentration, I need more time than I was accustomed from childhood to think

  • Sometimes I can out of habit "push" themselves

How does it work?

One of understanding for little change, it is important that I gave your body a new experience and start teaching him new ways to act, replaced the children's new installation, giving me more strength, resilience and be effective in the work.

Now for the consolidation of the changes I will need some time to systematically and consciously give yourself plenty of time to relax and focus on features important to me. Like the way I walk normally and with clients.

And yet I am often lectures and webinars about how our body is associated with our emotions, attitudes and relationships

P.s. imagine how many interesting things I discovered in myself when I went to engage in jazz-modern!) But more on that in another time.
